When we create something, we want it to look great when we are finished. So in today's post we will be looking at a step by step guide to ensure that your diamond dotz paintings turn out to be the best that they can be.
Now that you have watched the video, I will go over the instructions again, just to make sure that you understand what to do. Follow these instructions below
- Open up your kit. It will come with everything you need
- Lay out the canvas. It will have a piece of plastic covering it to protect it. Keep it there, do not remove the plastic.
- Before you begin placing diamonds onto the canvas, it is important that you understand how to read the canvas. Each letter, number or symbol represents a diamond color. Match the symbols to the color
- Once you know what color goes where using the chart on the side of the canvas, you are ready to start placing diamonds onto the canvas. Use your tool, or stylus and dip it into the wax that came with your kit, this will allow you to pick up each individual diamond.
- Once you can pick up the diamonds, pick up one and place it on the canvas where it belongs, matching the color to the symbol.
- Repeat this processes for every color until you are finished

Once you get the process down, it becomes easier and easier to place the diamonds upon the canvas. I know that when I first started I was intimidated by all of they tiny diamonds and the different colors and symbols. But it is actually quite easy, easier than it looks anyways.
Tips for your diamond painting...
- Do not peel back the plastic and take the whole plastic piece off. Doing so could mean that the canvas will loose some of the adhesive stickiness that is on it. And you do not want that because the stickiness is how the diamonds stick to the canvas
- If you realize that you have place the wrong color diamond in the wrong place. This is okay! You can take the diamond off and replace it with the correct color. Be warned though, you should not do this a lot because then the canvas might loose its adhesive stick
- When you are done for the day or for a while, make sure that you replace the plastic over the place where you are working. The way that I do it is by peeling back just a small section, working in that small section and then when I am done I just put the plastic back in place
And remember! The most important part when it comes to Diamond Dotz is to enjoy yourself! Sit back, relax and have a bit of fun.
